Hurley Bros Garage opened in a premises in Barrack Street 1953, Thomas and John Hurley, started the business, Thomas looked after the mechanical end of the business, while John looked after the administration side and also the body repair side of the business. After a few years, the business moved to a new premises at the site of the old mill in Bridge Street , where the business grew and until it moved to its present location in 2002, to Cork Road Bantry. In 1965 Hurley Bros became Renault Dealers, and are still selling and repairing renault cars. Sadly in 1974 John died suddenly and Thomas continued with running of the business.
Over the years the business developed and today it provides for the sale of new and used cars, servicing of all makes of cars, and vans, repairs and sales of boat engines. Our Vehicle Test Network centre provides for the annual road worthiness testing for all light commercial vans and jeeps, under a gross weight of 3500kg.
Today Thomas Hurley is still involved in the business.
Hurley Brothers' is a family run Business with Thomas Hurley Dealer Principal, Una Hurley company secretary, Managing Director Diarmuid Hurley, sales and after sales Manager Ciaran Hurley, receptionist and account Manager Patricia Murray, Parts manager Fergal Hurley,workshop team lead by Sidney Shannon comprises of John Madden, Gerard Mc Carthy, Billy Swanton.
In 2004 we were awarded the I S O creditation.
